Poetry is nice to read but to get the full effect, it is really meant to be heard. Join Patchwork Paper at The Russet on the 15th June for The Take-Over: A Crafty Revolution, and witness to the talents of some amazing poets, musicians, and visual artists.
The £3 event will begin at 6pm with Sunshine and Feasting for an early tapas snack, followed by a Rhyme & Dine at 7pm that will both fill your tummies and your souls. Poets from the Round House Collective with the magazine's writer to give a spoken performance, while you dine from The Russet's evening or vegetarian menu. Dishes include duck breast salad, beer battered beetroot lollipop, mackerel salsa verde, pistachio gelato, rhubarb crumble, and many more.
At 8pm you'll be able to get crafty yourself and take part in collaborative colouring, collective story writing, Origami classes, and an an arts raffle. Finally 9pm, it will be your chance to dance as Ellie Harman and Good Girls and Bad Times take to the stage. They will be followed by DJs at 10.30pm, featuring Ferme la Bouche & Fob Rung.
