Vocal harmony group
The Overtones are heading to
Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry for a gig on March 10, 2018 - just in time for Mother's Day.
Timmy Matley, Lachie Chapman, Mike Crawshaw, Mark Franks and Darren Everest boast sales of over a million records since the release of their debut album,
Good Ol' Fashioned Love, in 2010.
With four consecutive Top 10 UK albums behind them, their most recent release is the
Happy Days EP, featuring the themes to TV series
Happy Days, The Littlest Hobo (
Maybe Tomorrow),
Cheers, and
The Golden Girls (
Thank You For Being A Friend), plus a bonus acapella version of previous single
Beauty and the Beast.
The guys explain: "
We originally did a YouTube video singing an acapella version of Thank You For Being a Friend and the response online really blew us away. It was really lovely hearing nostalgic stories from people and fans who loved these old TV shows and gave us the idea to record some more theme tunes that we all love and that we have special memories attached to.
''
It took a while to agree on the final four as there are so many amazing theme tunes but the ones we have chosen fit us like a glove vocally. We're really excited for people to hear this EP and hopefully they will enjoy listening to the songs as much as we enjoyed recording them."
Since their breakthrough in 2010 with
Good Ol' Fashioned Love, The Overtones have established a reputation as an act with the ability to deliver consistently uplifting music, infused with exquisitely crafted vocal harmonies.
"
Touring is our favourite part of the year and we're really excited to be hitting the again," says 37-year-old Australian Lachie. "
You'll know by now that by the end of one of our shows we make sure everyone is up and dancing."
