It is amazing how unsociable some social events can get. Oblique is a lifestyle brand that wants to 're-personalise the way we socialise by stripping back everything to the four main essentials of a party: food, drink, music, and people. Their parties are different in a few ways, but mainly it is to do with size and time.
Oblique hold small affairs, meaning that it is not so crowded that everyone is sitting in each other's lap. They have also abandoned the notion that fun parties have to happen late at night and run into the wee hours of the morning. Those kinds of parties focus on a very narrow target group. Oblique is for everyone, which is why their parties are brunch time parties.
Their next brunch time party is called Oblique Carnival, and as the name suggests, it will be a very colourful event, all about letting loose and having the time of your life.
The party will be at Floripa, a Brazilian Restaurant in Shoreditch on the 8th March, 12pm-6pm. Tickets are £15 without a meal or £20 with. The menu options include a classic or veggie eggs Benedict, rustic BLT, French Toast, Brazilian scrambled eggs, or a sloppy bagel burger. After brunch, there will be games, and tunes from DJ Martin 2 Smoove, will be at the decks with the sounds of samba and the rhythms of reggae.
