Why can only humans celebrate Christmas?

Eddie the mouse has seen the humans lodging in his house decorating the rooms with tinsel, decking the halls with holly, and putting up a ginormous Christmas tree with loads of presents under it. Why can't mice do that?

Well, okay, putting up a tree might prove somewhat problematic, but it is still not fair.

So on the night before Christmas, when Eddie sees the human girl called Emily gazing out the window, excitedly awaiting Santa, he decides to search out Old Saint Nick for himself.

He embarks on a perilous journey, facing many dangers, - such as a rather nasty cat - but advice from a fairy helps Eddie on his way. Will he find the answers he's looking for, and what's that under the tree?

A heartwarming tale, The Night Before Christmas, will be played at Fairfield Halls in Croydon until the 24th December. Tickets are between £10-£14.50.

You can also see the play at a cheaper rate in the Mill Studio at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford between 16th-30th December. Tickets cost £8.
