If you're looking for a relaxed restaurant, great Sunday lunch and very family friendly focus then The Mustard Pot is a must visit.


I visited the Mustard Pot on a Sunday lunchtime with two young children, husband, sister and brother in law, and parents in law. It's definitely a popular spot with families and booking is highly recommended. It can be quite a challenge to enjoy a relaxed lunch with children and a large group but the Mustard Pot have got this kind of occasion down to a fine art.


We were greeted by real roaring fires, a subtle decor and plenty of room around our table for the inevitable paraphernalia that comes with going anywhere with two small children. Everyone ordered the roast beef with Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings, and it was clean plates all round. The food is homemade and freshly prepared from locally sourced produce.


The Mustard Pot would also be a nice spot to just relax on a comforable sofa by the fire with one of their cask marque ales.
