On Thursdy 26 October, the Moroccan Medina opened up its doors on the rooftop of the popular
Queen of Hoxton.

Inspired by the far-flung desert realms and romantic splendour of Marrakesh, this winter Londoners can escape the grey city pavements to the rooftop riad in East London.

The medina is inspired by the bright colours, sights and scents of Moroccan souks, a treasure trove of twinkling lanterns, shimmering cushions and drapes awaits inside this unique spot for winter 2017.

You can climb right into the secret snug hidden inside a giant Moroccan lamp and enjoy a Spiced Hot Buttered Rum or one of the Shimmering Gold Pomegranate Bellinis, and relax against the plump cushions with the lights dancing around you.

The menu has also been given an eastern twist, with Halloumi Fries, Lamb and Apricot Tagine and a Rainbow Vegan Mezze Board among other Moroccan treats.

The exterior of the WigWam pays homage to the Jardin Majorelle, more commonly known as the Yves Saint Laurent gardens in Marrakesh, with green cacti sitting against iconic cobalt blue walls, draped in fairy lights.

The Moroccan Medina is open from now until the end of March 2018. Monday - Saturday, 4pm - 10pm.
