The Beer and Cider Festival is back again this year bringing you a great selection of drinks.



The annual festival is the perfect January event, escape the miserable weather and come and see what great drinks are on offer. This is the North Wests biggest beer and cider festival, it is a huge celebration of different drinks and a chance to meet other drink enthusiasts. Now in its fifth year the festival is well known in the city and a huge attraction for people coming to the North West.

Organised by the Campaign for Real Ale the festival brings you over 750 different drinks to choose from. There will be 22 bars serving drinks from the UK and beyond. This is a real treat for beer and cider lovers, see what interesting new drafts have been designed and what new and exciting cider flavours have been brewed. However there are also other drinks on offer from wine to soda if you fancy a break from all the beer. Located in a former railway station the event offers a chance to sample commissioned beers and ales from Manchester breweries. Alongside the many drinks on offer there will also be food from a range of venues so you don't have to drink on an empty stomach. There will also be talks and tasting sessions taking place throughout the festival, however these may cost extra to attend.

This three day festival gives visitors enough time to check out the popular event. The festival opens on Thursday 25th January and Friday 26th January from 12pm until 10.30pm then on Saturday 27th January from 12pm until 7pm. Tickets cost £4 on the 25th and £7 on the 26th and 27th. There is a £3 refundable glass hire required on each day. Please note there is discounts available for students, NHS staff, emergency service workers, senior citizens and the armed forces but ID is required. This is a great event in the city and everyone is welcome, children and under 16's can attend but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must not approach the bar. Feel free to bring the family or get together with friends and see why this is one of the biggest events in Manchester.
