You can tell everything from the sign that greets you as you walk towards it. is one of those places...

In fact, as it turns out, the Macbeth pub has been one of those places for quite a while - and by one of those places I mean a music and arts pub serving up the best the Hoxton area has to offer for over 100 years already.

Just looking at the list of some of the acts that have played here will give you an idea of what they have to offer, and what they have offered in the past - acts of the calibre of Pete Doherty, Plan B and even Florence and the Machine have graced the stage.

So it can satisfy your needs to see the upcoming new bands then, but that's not all you should come here for - there's a great range of cocktails to choose from, on top of a stellar range of Craft Beer (my current favourite I have to say).

There are events happening nearly half the week nights for you to enjoy, with themed DJ nights happening as well as the acts that drop by to play sets. On nights when there are no events, that's the time to drop by with friends for a chat and a relax with a good tipple.

With a pop-up restaurant soon to grace the pub too, now's the time to become acquainted with the Macbeth - and who knows - you may just discover the next great music act while you sip on your IPA brew...
