Cyclists: you either love or hate them, believe them to be super fit and healthy, or holier than thou with their anti-motorists attitude and apparent desire to terrorise every pedestrian on the pavement.
Whatever sort of press cyclists have, their star must have risen during and since the London 2012 Olympics when Bradley Wiggins, he of the famous sideburns, winner of the Tour de France and seven Olympic medals – arise Sir Bradley, was joined by a roll call of Armitstead, Burke, Clancy, Hoy, Kennaugh, Kenny, King, Pendleton, Rawsell, Thomas and Trott.
Over four days
The London Bike Show will combine with The Active Travel Show, The Outdoors Show, and the London Boat Show at the ExCel Centre where one ticket will guarantee entry to all exhibits.
One huge feature this year will be the IG London Nocturne, which will take place over the entire four days and will include several different races. Registration is now open if you fancy yourself as the next Bradley Wiggins or Victoria Pendleton.
Other reasons for going include a Bike Radar Training Hub, Road Bike Test Track, The Cool Wall,
the DMR Pump Track,
and the Jaguar Performance Theatre. Major cycling brands from Accelerade to Zipvit Sport UK will be in attendance and there will also be an opportunity to win a Rose Bike.
It's still not too late to make a New Year's resolution to get and keep fit. If the medal winning Olympians haven't inspired you, perhaps the London Bike Show will.
