Some of the best nights I can't remember have involved this place...

This might make it sound like a super-hedonistic place, and to some it is, but it is one of those places where they know how to enjoy themselves, and what to provide the people who want to do the same...

is just opposite Camden Lock Market (hence the name), and caters to an up-for-it crowd of music lovers with some of the coolest name djs currently on the circuit. Just looking at some of the past guests reads like a who's who of anybody in the music business - some key names to play the venue - Adele, Ellie Goulding, The Chemical Brothers, The XX, and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem being the very rich icing on a very star-studded cake.

With all of this talk of music and celebrity it could be easy to miss just what this place is worth coming for - great food and great beer. There is plenty of choice in the eating department, should you feel peckish - with everything from pulled pork tacos to NY style hot dogs via dirty burgers to contend with. The only thing to go with this would be a nice pint of draught lager, though I recommend a nice ice-cold cider with anything pulled-pork related - but it's your choice...

I can't recommend this place enough as I have been here many a time, and danced like I was auditioning for some low-budget musical about the beginning of acid house - but as I told you, this place has a habit of turning hours into minutes, and more often than not I have found myself outside again at closing time, wondering where the hours have gone. Quite simply a must for those serious about their music, or fans of Camden alike.
