Classic Thriller By The Theatre Company Of The Same Name
A classic movie thriller is being brought to the live stage in the capable hands of an all-star cast that promises to keep audiences on the very edge of their collective seats. The Classic Thriller Theatre Company presents The Lady Vanishes, described as a quick-witted, devilishly fun thriller, which has been based on the 1939 Hitchcock classic, ranked as one of the best British films ever. Adapted by Antony Lampard and directed by Roy Marsden, The Lady Vanishes is currently enjoying a UK tour which will see it arrive at the Lichfield Garrick theatre in Staffordshire from June 17 to 22.
The Lady Vanishes, which stars real life husband and wife Juliet Mills and Maxwell Caulfield, is a mystery thriller in the true crime tradition. When Socialite Iris' travelling companion suddenly disappears, she is bewildered to find that all her fellow passengers deny ever having seen her. But with the help of musician Max, she turns detective and, together, they try to solve the perplexing mystery of why the lady vanished. Celebrated actors Juliet and Maxwell lead a star-studded cast in the latest instalment from the Classic Theatre Thriller Company, who are building on the phenomenal decade-long success of The Agatha Christie Theatre Company.
