This reasonably priced bar/pub in the heart of Kingston really gets buzzing on a Friday and Saturday night. The DJs are adept at getting the party started after most of the chairs and tables are removed to create a thriving dance floor.

It is popular with students, but everyone is welcome and the bouncers are uncharacteristically polite and not as Neanderthal as in nearby venues.

The service is slow, but cheap prices mean longer queues, so an impatient customer could get frustrated. However, this aside the venue offers a vibrant experience at a low cost and is certainly worth a try.

Other evenings and during the day, it operates as a more conventional pub, serving food and cheap ales. It is unitimidating and although the lighting is very dim, the environment has a nice relaxing feel to it. I warmly recommend this venue.
