The Jam Tree Pub

[ADVERT]London has such a wide variety of pubs that, if you're anything like me, you can spend a whole evening turning in circles deciding which one to visit. Fortunately for me and my terrible decision-making skills, mere proximity introduced me to
The Jam Tree on the King's Road in Chelsea, which sits cheerfully a few steps down from my office.
An unusual and colourful name for an unusual and colourful place, The Jam Tree is a comfortable and modern Gastro pub that is decorated a simple white, and flavoured with Warhol-esque art, vibrant Union Jack upholstery, and a clean and spacious bar that is well-stocked with its not-so-secret ingredient.
The Jam Tree is aptly named for its deliciously jammy cocktails that are well worth the slightly hefty price you pay for them. Such condimental beverages include the Jam Mojito, Marmalady, Pearl Jam, and my personal favourite, Wham Bam Thank You Jam, which features vanilla vodka, Chambord and Passoa, raspberry jam, sour mix and is topped off with popping candy. Although the glasses they're served in are a bit too small in my opinion, these strong but sweet cocktail treats taste spectacular.
For Jammy Dodgers who don't want to indulge their sweet tooth, fear not. There are eight more pages of more traditional alcohol on the menu and teeny tiny bottles of soft drinks for the non-boozers.
If you're in the area around mealtimes, you should definitely stop in for the Gastro part of the pub. The menu is a diverse and elegant choice of good old British grub and they don't skimp on the portions. I highly recommend the burgers, which always come juicy and tender and perfectly presented.
The Jam Tree also holds summer barbeques with an outdoor bar in its luxurious garden that is all sun-soaked decking and well-placed greenery. You can fit 200 people out there so it's perfect for private parties and long summer afternoons. In winter the outdoor heaters are fired up and twinkly lights give it that magical party atmosphere.
Because I don't really earn enough to make a habit of cocktail hour, I didn't expect to be returning to The Jam Tree any time soon but they actually have quite a few deals that make it a lot more difficult to resist frequent visits. There's an app that can provide you with 2 for 1 cocktails or meals on certain days and you can find more information on deals and seasonal events on their
website .
