London is great. I wouldn't be writing for this website if I didn't truly adore the sweaty chaos of the urban streets. Even the most ardent London-lover, however, must admit that the chaos and the pollution can get too much at times.

The studio has yoga classes seven days a week, from 9:30am to 9pm, with sessions dedicated to Holistic, Inner and Hatha Yoga, along with dedicated sessions for ladies in pregnancy.

The key, just like having a work/life balance, is to have a detox/re-tox balance. For every pub and party, there should me a quiet moment of restoration. For every stodgy Sunday roast, there should be something more wholesome.

is a one stop health and vitality kick, complete with a shop and an upstairs yoga studio. Each day the building is filled with elegantly toned and radiant people from Crouch End, filling their baskets with wholefoods and supplements.

While numerous people are today catching onto a wholefood lifestyle, the Halean Centre has been going for over forty years. As people move in the droves to a more nutritious and healthy lifestyle, this shop seems to go from strength to strength.

I look on with wonder at the dedicated, pure living people who congregate around the Halean Centre. Maybe one day I will join them full time, to give up my pub and pie lifestyle and become a balanced and focused individual. Until that day, I will make do with a weekly trip to the shop for my little boost of the good life.
