The Garden Society invite you to the silliest tea party you'll ever attend, with a journey through Wonderland and a seat at the Mad Hatter's table. The Mad Hatter's Tea Party is half theatre, half afternoon tea, and promises to be an immersive and entertaining experience. The first tea party sessions will be held on Friday March 30th (Good Friday) and will continue through the Easter break until Sunday April 15th.
If you're brave enough to head down the rabbit hole, you'll find yourself accompanying Alice through Wonderland as she searches for some familiar characters in her quest to end the Red Queen's rule. The Wonderland adventure is interactive and immersive, you'll be right in the centre of the story as it unfolds around you. Once the Queen of Hearts is beaten it's time for a celebratory tea party with the Mad Hatter.
The afternoon tea includes sandwiches, jam tarts, and more. All the treats have been created to fit the Wonderland theme, with regular cheese sandwiches replaced with Cheshire's cheese triangular sandwich and fresh juices labelled 'drink me'. The food is all child-friendly, but it is designed to be enjoyed by everyone big and small. If you have any specific dietary requirements make sure you email email@example.com at least 48 hours before your session.
Tickets are £10 for adults and children, but children under 2 years can attend for free provided they sit on their parents lap during the performance. All children under 16 years must be accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets can be booked from the Garden Society website. Sessions will be run every hour on the hour, starting at 10am and ending with a final performance at 6pm.
For more information visit the Garden Society website or get in touch with them at firstname.lastname@example.org or through their Facebook page.
