Bumblefly Theatre and Forest Forge Theatre Company have joined up to bring the tale of the Frog Prince to theatres around England for a festive season family production. With singing, dancing, and a few familiar characters, this is a loveable romp through the world of fairy tales. The Frog Prince and Other Tales is being performed at the Hanger Farm Arts Centre in Totton on January 14th at 2pm.

The story is set inside a castle, where the travelling players have moved in and are ready to tell the tale of the Frog Prince. An ingenious frog wants to live inside the castle and enjoy all the luxuries of life, but the selfish princess isn't interested in letting a slimy frog share any of her riches. But, the Frog Prince isn't the only familiar tale being spun. There's a princess locked up in a tower, and a brave prince on his way to rescue her, familiar fairy tale faces and some lesser-known stories as well.

Previous pairings of Bumblefly Theatre and Forest Forge Theatre Company include last year's the Elves and the Shoemaker and 2015's Hansel and Gretel. The productions take a well-known tale and throw in favourite characters from other fairy and folk tales, then they throw in songs and dancing for a fun and original show.

The Frog Prince and Other Tales is playing at the Hanger Farm Arts Centre on January 14th at 2pm. Tickets are available online from the Hanger Farm website or by calling the box office on 023 8066 7683. Tickets are £8.50 for adults and £6.50 for concessions.
