Event:
Dance to the 40s

After causing a storm at the Bestival on the Isle of Wight, The Devout Sceptics are heading to London for a night that will make you Jump, Jive, and Shout. The vintage Americana band has notes of country, blues, jazz, rock, and mariachi all rolled into one. Featuring the vocal talents of Colette Winter, musicians include Ian Fuller on bass, Ian Gant on guitar, Mark Lambert on drums, Stephen Fuller with his harmonica, Dan Leese on the piano, and Paul Frith plays the trumpet.

Entry to the event is 5 or 3 concessions at the door. As well as live music, Jump, Jive, and Shout will also feature resident DJ Jeniffer Jackson, who will be spinning the very best 1940s-1950s rhythm 'n' blues energy, boogie woogie, and doo wop. Listen out for for songs by Little Richard, Louis Jordan, Lavern Baker, Big Joe Turner, Wynonnie Harris, The Chords, Ruth Brown, Ike Turner, and Etta James. All the music will be on vinyl, just like it was back in the day. Entertainment starts at 8pm and ends at midnight. Your should dress in the glamour of the forties or retro style of the fifties.
