The Dead Daisies' frontman Glenn Hughes will be back in familiar surroundings when the band play Wolverhampton's KK's Steel Mill on December 7, 2022. The 71-year-old singer and bassist was born in the nearby town of Cannock. He fronted local band Trapeze before being recruited by musical giants Deep Purple in 1973. He later had a successful solo career and recorded with the likes of Black Sabbath , Gary Moore and Black Country Communion before joining supergroup The Dead Daisies in 2019.

The band, which also features lead guitarist Doug Aldrich, rhythm guitarist David Lowy and drummer Brian Tichy, are playing a series of UK and Irish shows to promote latest album, Radiance. The gigs follow a summer of festivals and concerts with Foreigner and Judas Priest .

The album's title track was the first single to be released, followed by Shine On to coincide with a summer 2022 European tour. Hypnotize Yourself was released in August, with the fourth single, Face Your Fear, coming in September. Born To Fly was made available as a single at the beginning of November.

The band embarked on their latest US Tour on September 7, starting at the Landis Theater in Vineland, New Jersey and finishing at The Crocodile in Seattle on September 24.

Glenn said: "The UK is the foundational home of rock music and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone, as we perform songs from our new album. The interaction between our band and the fans is paramount. As a Brit, I can't wait to get back to where it all started."
