Pedal power takes precedence at Birmingham NEC at the end of September. The Cycle Show , taking place September 28 – 30, 2018, promises to be a magnet for bike enthusiasts, with celebrity riders, leading brands and free test tracks.

Top names appearing during the three days include TV's Ned Boulting (pictured below) and pro cyclists Mark Cavendish , Marcel Kittel , Alex Dowsett , Sam Pilgrim, Lee Musselwhite , Annie Emmerson, Shanaze Danielle Reade and double Olympic gold medallist Joanna Rowsell Shand . They'll be showing what they can do on track, as well as talking about their sports careers on the main stage.

With free test tracks featuring the latest road bikes, mountain bikes, electric and kids' bikes, visitors will have the option to 'try before they buy' and to benefit from special show offers on the most innovative cycling gear, accessories and kit.

There will be two dedicated children's tracks, with Cube and Islabikes bringing their expertise to the show, each providing a fleet of bikes for their dedicated free-to-ride test tracks. Experts will also be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.

For even more excitement there will be a whole host of tricks thrown down at the Extreme Bike Battle, featuring some of the best riders from across the BMX and Mountain Biking world (below). These include pro-freerider and former world champion Sam Pilgrim, who will be at the show on September 29. Meanwhile, Lee Musselwhite, the professional BMX Flatland Rider and UK Flatland Champion, will be offering BMX Flatland coaching for children throughout the show.

For those keen to begin riding, the New2Cycling Hub will provide all the help, advice and know-how needed to increase confidence and enjoyment of cycling. Free to use, with regular demos, talks and advice throughout all three days, the New2Cycling Hub will be the perfect place to learn more about cycling.

Elsewhere in the show, retail therapy might be the order of the day. The latest in cycling gear, accessories and apparel, suitable for all ages and experience of riders, will be available to buy.

Advanced family show tickets are priced from £37.
