The Cuban restaurant and bar in Camden is a great place to enjoy the tastes and treats of Cuba in Central London. The bar is decorated in customary Cuban style accompanied by traditional music, giving The Cuban a great Latin American atmosphere.

The Cuban boasts a large selection of cocktails varying from the classic Margaritas and Manhattans to the more exotic such as the Singapore Sling and the Cuba Libre (a full menu of cocktails and wines is available to download on The Cuban website). At £8 to £9 each the drinks are reasonably valued for such high quality. I highly recommend my personal favourite the Zombie, a dangerously alcoholic beverage usually served in small tumblers, but at The Cuban is served in a tall glass. Perfect to start a night on the town but beware, one may lead to another…

Splashing out isn't always necessary at The Cuban. I recommend taking full advantage of the happy hours which are Monday to Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm and Thursday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm, at which time a selection of cocktails are available for £5. It's also worth a visit to their website to check out any offers they have or vouchers that are available (for example, at the moment there is a free Mojito voucher available to print off).

If you're feeling a little unfit after an excessive amount of cocktails and tapas, or if drinking isn't your thing, The Cuban also holds salsa classes so you can dance the night away.

The bar also offers a wide range of Cuban and Caribbean style meals and snacks that, although rather highly priced, are worth trying as part of The Cuban experience. Although I have not tried any of the tapas dishes, so I cannot judge their value for money, I would recommend trying the paella as I found it to be a very tasty and filling meal that complimented the theme of The Cuban beautifully.
