I've always been an Egypt nut and Ancient Egypt section of The British Museum has only served to increase my obsession. There is a huge amount of material in this one small area of the museum and there is plenty to interest everyone from amateur to scholar.
One of the best bits about this section of the museum is also that it is free.
The treasures in the museum are wonderful to behold. It's a great place to take children to get them interested in history because much of it is so beyond what we know in European history.
The atmosphere of the place is also great. It's a world where everyone is revelling in the treasures around them because so many children are in the museum there is a real sense of wonder.
It's guaranteed to excite anyone with a passion for stories, young or old.
