Now in its fourth year, The British Military Tournament is returning to Earls Court on the 7th & 8th December to celebrate the great British Legends who have risked their own lives to save our.
The show is the armed forces equivalent to the circus, with dramatic re-enactments, high speed chases, and dare devil stunts. Despite the dangers and hard work involved, compared to their work on the front line, this is probably a field day for the soldiers taking part; they will be able to parade their skills and talents as a form of entertainment rather as a way of defeating the enemy. A much needed relief I could imagine.
As well as the performance itself, early birds will get to have a pre-show glimpse at a special exhibition where you can meet serving sailors, soldiers, and airmen, learn about the latest military kit including an Apache Helicopter, a Jackal AFV and a replica Chinook. The highlight will be an Enigma machine from Bletchley Park, which was used to decode secret messages in during World War Two. Don't forget to take a look at the displays, such as the Bloodhound Supersonic Car and a Spitfire.
Tickets to the show start from £29.75 for adults and £22.75 for children. All profits will go towards the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity; ABF The Soldiers' Charity; and The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
See scenes from The Napoleonic Wars such as The Battle of Trafalgar, stunts by The White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team, a battle re-enactment of the 1916/17 Arab Revolt, a Musical Drive performed by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, the Command Field Gun Competition , and a tribute to today's ex-servicemen injured on duty.
