Young and coffee in varying degrees, Kat also says stuff @ThoroughlyMode

If you're of a certain age then the name of this Soho caff will make you think of one thing and one thing only. Alright, one of several things, but all those things will spring from the same place: That Eighties Film. And this cafe is sort of like the film, in that it's 80s and American diner-esque and comforting.
Some of the memorabilia adorning their walls you may once have fondly used to adorn the walls of your own bedroom - in your parent's house: record sleeves from some of your other fave. 80s films like 'Back to the Future' and 'St. Elmo's Fire', mugs proclaiming 'I heart The BC', and t-shirts with the names of all the actors from THE film.
But the comfort's not solely nostalgic and atmospheric, the food's of the comforting variety as well. Breakfasts are a big deal here – possibly for people too young for the name to mean anything to – from the full English, to American versions value added with pancakes and maple syrup, to a breakfast burrito, to the delicious banana and bacon French toast, to porridge and muesli and fruit for people whose metabolisms have aged somewhat since the 80s. After brunch they do lunches of big sandwiches, salads, wraps, burgers, jacket potatoes and other meals to make you feel good inside.
The feel good factor even continues to the colour they've painted their shop front: sunshine yellow. It's even BYO later on – how wonderfully 80s of them x.
