I know a pub that'll make you laugh. No really, I do know a pub that will make you laugh - as it is one of London's premier comedy clubs, the dream of a touring comedy club come true.

Angel Comedy Club started out in Angel, London doing free comedy gigs once a week in London, which slowly progressed to 7 nights a week, before taking over a pub and renaming the Bill Murray (surprisingly not after that famous Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters actor).

So, why should you go? Well, first of all - just look at my pictures - they've got clouds on the ceiling - clouds on the ceiling! Then there are all of the little one-liners dotted around on little brass tacks everywhere, which will also give you hours of fun trying to find - and all of this before the main event itself - the comedy.

They have everything from free shows with up-and-coming acts, all the way through to celebrated (ie famous) turns performing new material (recent shows at the time of writing have been performed by true comedy legends Daniel Kitson, Nish Kumar and Eddie Izzard). Some of the best nights I have been to here though have been experimental, from relative newcomers, and all you had to pay was what you thought the show was worth by dropping some coins into a bucket on the way out.

choose something you like, then go and watch- you may just be seeing the future of comedy performing in front of you.
