What do you plan on doing during your lunch break? Sure, you could be conventional, and actually have your lunch, but where's the fun in that? Why not do something different for a change, like breaking a world record? It will only take fifteen minutes, and it will be a super fun way to socialise, get exercise, and raise money for vulnerable and homeless people.
On the 10th July, The Big Issue Foundation are holding a football match at The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Burton Court - or more accurately, they are holding dozens of football matches.
The Big Kick Off is a world record breaking attempt, with the aim of getting the most players in a five-a-side football match.
This does sound a bit odd at first; logic would dictate that the maximum number of players you could have is ten (possibly more with substitutions), but it turns out that BBC 5 Live currently hold the current record of 464.
So how is this achieved? Between 9am-9pm, you are invited to play in a five-a-side football match for fifteen minutes. It costs £12 to sign-up (£50 for a team), and you can pick any time slot that best suits you. Limber up before work, work up an appetite during your lunch break, or unwind after a hard slog at the office. All the money raised will go towards The Big Issue Foundation, and you could end up breaking a world record.
