Month two means it is time for the second Hogroast of the year. The Animal Farm present four distinctly different rock bands, which are to perform on the 22nd February at Soho's landmark pub and music venue, Spice of Life. Entry is free, and things will Kick of at 7pm with a performance from Los and the Deadlines. The progressive post-grunge band has witty lyrics, thumping rhythms, and an intense energy comparable to The Pixies and Queens of the Stone Age.
Second in the line up is The Wondersmiths, an indie group fusing electronica with rock. The band consist of front man Chris Horncastle, lead guitarist, Dave Owen (who sometimes plays in his underwear), bass guitarist, Aleks Kaltio, and drummer, Oli Franklin, who is three parts monkey.
They will be followed by the Bruges; originally from Canberra, Australia, they are now based in Dartford, and play alternative rock.
The Hogroast headliner, Hana Piranha, is a distinctive female rocker, who adds a twist to rock music by playing the violin.
