Climb Aboard a Lifeboat

Don't let the bad forecast put you off having a great family day out this weekend. On Sunday 8th September, the Teddington River Festival will feature activities and events along the River Thames throughout the afternoon (12pm-6pm).

Live music will play at Lock Island, featuring bands such as The Eel Pie Pirates, We Happy Few, That Band of Johns, the Teddington Jazz Band, Groove Academy, and more.

You can listen to them while browsing the craft stands, drinking Pimms at the bar, or exploring some of the moored boats and barges. There will also be a chance to learn kayaking, take a boat ride, and get kitted out before climbing on board a life boat.

Kids will be able to enjoy face painting, trampolining, bouncy castles, yoga, playing with models boats, and having a go testing NPL water rockets.

Although it might be a bit wet, there are still plans for a barbecue on manor road, but if if you want to stay dry, there will be tea, coffee & cake at Teddington Lifeboat Station.
