Christmas is synonymous with food and drink. We spend a fortune buying and cooking our festive favourites and watching cookery programmes on television as we try to pick up different hints, tips and ideas from top chefs.

Taste of Christmas returns to London's ExCel for its fifth year. You will be able to watch a whole host of chefs, including Jamie Oliver, Michel Roux Jr, Jean Christophe Novelli , Valentine Warner and Mary Berry, who will be tantalising you with demonstrations of their skills and ideas. You will return home inspired to try out their recipes in your own kitchens and to dazzle your friends and families with tastes of your new found culinary abilities.

This year will see a couple of new and different additions to the event. A Festive Feasting Ticket will guarantee visitors a glass of mulled wine, a two-course meal with wine, and a Taste recipe book to take home. The entry ticket will provide entry to all demonstrations, master classes, tasting, restaurant and theatre sessions as well as the boutique food market and a full event guide.

There will also be access to morning and afternoon tea sessions, and a high tea ticket including a glass of champagne and the Taste recipe book. You will be able to explore world beers and world flavours, and will have a chance to enjoy food courtesy of some of London's top restaurants. LIMA will be offering Peruvian plates, Cinnamon Kitchen will be tweaking your taste buds with modern Indian food, Comptoir Gascon's gourmet bistro will be cooking south western French cuisine, Salt Yard will be showcasing tapas treats from Spain and Italy, and our own Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts will be cooking up Christmassy sweet and savoury surprises.
