Children aged five and over throughout Tamworth in Staffordshire are being invited to take part in an exciting programme of free
activities this half-term. Tamworth Borough Council's Sports Development Team has instigated a new programme of active events will is currently running during the week-long school holiday from Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February. The one-week timetable will offer a range of activities for Tamworth children aged from just five up to 12 years old. And the even greater news is that all the activities will be completely free of charge. The programme includes trampoline jumping, dance and bowling, with activities taking place at local venues including Tamworth Castle Grounds, Brent House in Wilnecote, Sinitta Marie Dance Academy, and Tamworth Namco Funscape bowling alley.
Councillor John Chesworth, Cabinet member for Culture and Operational Services at Tamworth council, said: "
These sessions are always a huge success and are very popular when we run them in the summer holidays, so I am delighted that we can extend the free activities for half term. I would encourage parents to sign up as soon as possible so that they don't miss out. We hope that children from across Tamworth will find the new programme exciting and sign up to try something they may not have tried before".
Bookings for Jump Xtreme trampoline park at Brent House, Wilnecote, must be via telephone on 01827 290007. The same is true for sessions at Namco Funscape Bowling in the Castle Grounds, with pre-booking also essential by telephoning 01827 68448.
