Children are being invited to fill part of their forthcoming school holidays with enchantment this summer with a programme of magical stories at historic
Tamworth Castle. The storyteller will be in residence at the medieval castle in Staffordshire at the beginning of the school holiday period, from July 23 to July 25, to delight young visitors with tales of knights, dragons and princesses. To help with the magical atmosphere, visitors are invited to attend the storytelling sessions dressed in their favourite costumes, either to listen to the collection of stories or have a go at telling their own. In addition, visitors of all ages can also participate in various craft activities and a fairy-tale trail around the castle rooms. Children are welcome to bring their own teddy bears or dolls to enjoy a story too.
