Tim Firth's new musical The BAND stops off at Birmingham Hippodrome from May 1 to 12, 2018, as part of a UK Tour following TV programme Let It Shine to cast men for the show.

The show revolves around five 40-something women who are reliving their youth and dreams of meeting their heroes from a boy band, who they adored when they were teenagers.

The girls are the main focus of the show but it features the music of 14 Take That hits.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams and Jason Orange set female hearts aflame with boy band Take That in the 1990's with songs from Pray to Could It Be Magic and Never Forget.

The BAND will be played by AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Yazdan Qafouri Isfahani, Curtis T Johns and Sario Watanabe-Soloman, who, as Five to Five, won BBC's Let It Shine.

Former EastEnders actor Jack Ryder will direct the musical, which opens in Manchester in September before heading off on a lengthy national tour. There are rumours that the show will then settle in London's West End later in 2018.

Take That won eight Brit Awards including Best British Group and Best British Live Act and 28 top 40 singles in the charts.
