When Eric Dorn noticed a lack of Japanese restaurants in Hackney, she decided to expand her business from a simple mobile kitchen selling street food, and start up a supper club. She holds regular events around East London, creating various menus that serve Japanese comfort food with a twist.
Eric uses seasonal ingredient, and in Japan, the months between March and May is the season of Hanami. Hanami is the tradition of enjoying the beauty of flowers, - particularly cherry blossom - so for her next event, which is on the 4th April from 7.30pm-11pm, the theme is Hanami X Tengu Sake. As well as a delicious five course meal, served alongside good quality sake, entertainment will take the form of Bas & Trent, a eurasian DJ duo.
Tickets are £35, and the menu includes California Chirashizushi, Reishabu Salad, Green Soba, Hanami Bento, and Sakua Mochi.
