Prepare to pull out the grass skirts and flower garlands from the dressing up box, as 'Sugar Cane' is all about the tropical vibes. A taste of the exotic can be found in the food as well as the cocktails at pretty decent rates, especially at happy hour (4pm-7pm Fridays). There is also a great offer on 'Luau night' which we took full advantage of; buy one cocktail and get a second for free (Tuesdays and Sundays).

I would definitely recommend trying a 'sharer' cocktail between a few friends (see my photograph). The novelty of a huge glass filled to the brim with dangerously tasty alcohol and a few straws kept us entertained for hours. Do make sure to check out the website before going to get the best out of the offers and deals available, as you could end up spending a lot more than you bargained on the addictive beverages.

The staff were extremely helpful in recommending the best cocktails as well as creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy the exotic mood. The place itself is wonderfully decorated, making it a perfect venue for themed special occasions. It also includes a small outside smoking area that is equally beautifully decorated. I would recommend booking or turning up very early as it got extremely busy as the night went on, but it must be said that this did not impede the fantastic service or the colourful atmosphere.

You can enjoy the best of both worlds as 'Sugar Cane' is located just a few minutes' walk from Clapham Junction and is therefore an ideal place to sit in a tropical ambience whilst absorbing the busy London night-life.
