Juncture 2014 is a festival of contemporary movement, theatre and film. Performances have included Nicole Beutler's feminist dance-theatre-gig creation 1: Songs, as well as discussions and improv.

The final instalment of all things good and well in the arts world is Stupid Women, which is a live directed improvisation. The performance is made especially for Juncture as a tribute to the late and great Nigel Charnock whose piece Stupid Men irritated and annoyed most audiences that saw it.

Although a tribute act, the talent of the actors and actresses has been high across the board throughout the Juncture festival. Prepare to be shocked, frustrated, and annoyed at the same time.

It is works of this calibre that always intrigue me; theatre and performance is meant to be a celebration of the things we experience in life, but put together in an eloquent manner, and presented in a format that a large audience that can witness and share. This is exactly what Stupid Women does. Whilst I don't agree with the title, that is entirely the point. Go and have a giggle for under a tenner.
