is an upcoming exhibition (autumn 2019) at the
Nottingham Contemporary art gallery. The exhibition coincides with the centenary of the founding of the Bauhaus school in Weimar. The exhibition aims to explore how Bauhaus concepts, such as experimentation with light, materials, and colour, influenced British art, design, music, and popular culture since the foundation of the school to the present day.
On display will be works by over 50 individuals from the different disciplines of art, design, fashion, beauty industry, film, architecture, and music. This large assortment of diverse collections will seek to examine the wide-ranging legacy and impact of the Bauhaus and the different ways it has been interpreted in Britain through the decades.
Join the free launch of the event on Friday, 20th September from 6.30pm-11pm. The event will involve a tour of the galleries, live music, and a late-night party in the gallery's bar. Book your place at the launch on the
gallery's website .
