Friday night: the stop off point on the student schedule for all things related to work, lectures and setting your alarm for a 7am start. Which makes a night out in Leeds, a very appealing thought. But where to go? If last minute plans often land you in Tiger Tiger, Oceana or a classic night at Spoons, here's an alternative suggestion which might liven your night: Sticky Feet.
I've been a student in Leeds for two years and Sticky Feet has built up an unbeatable reputation for loud bass, deep house, trap and dirty dub, giving you the ultimate Friday night concoction for your ear drums. The Warehouse, is situated just on the edge of Leeds City Centre, a 9 minute taxi ride away from Headingly. Entry for the night is £5 and drink prices are student friendly: £6 for 3 jagerbombs. Sticky Feet is often a sell out night, so buying tickets in advance (paper or online) is always a safe option.
The atmosphere is one that cannot be faulted on a night like this, there is no need to spend agonising hours straightening your hair, putting on your LBD and 6 inch heels. Sticky Feet is a more 'come as you are' night. Where it's socially acceptable to wear denim shorts, that top you bought in the Topshop sale, your comfiest pair of trainers and most importantly, enjoy yourself. Photos and videos of the night are posted every week, so make sure you let hair down, wear your most impressive bass face and get yourself down to The Warehouse next Friday night!
