One more tour for frantic four
After reuniting earlier this year 'for the first and only time in 30 years' the classic Status Quo line-up has announced more gigs for 2014 – allegedly their final ever tour together. Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan, affectionately known at the Frantic Four, will play across the UK and Europe next March and April. Their only Midland shows are at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on April 3 and 10.

Frontman Francis Rossi says: "Playing together again after all those years was amazing. It wasn't perfect, I guess I always strive for that, but the chemistry was there and the crowds were just incredible. These new dates are an opportunity to kick it up a notch and to get the gang back together for one final blast."
Rhythm guitarist Rick Parfitt adds: "We wanted one last go at this, and the setlist will see some changes. We'll play some of the material that was aired in March, plus also some more of those early hits.''
Before March 2013 this Quo line-up last played together in 1981. The partnership came to an acrimonious end with lawsuits and court battles souring what had been a solid and successful relationship. Quo had enjoyed number one albums and a chart-topping single, Down Down. The band got back together when Australia-based Alan Lancaster met up with Francis Rossi when the current Quo line-up toured Down Under.
