Looking for a music festival that offers more than just your run of the mill rocks stars, legends, and headline bands?
Located on the grounds of a sixteenth century manor house, Standon Calling is more like a family weekend resort than a music festival. With a swimming pool, nightclub, bars, and a banquet of food you'll never get bored.
A weekend ticket that lasts between 1st - 3rd August is £129 for adults, £10 for children, and £5 for infants. You can also buy additional tickets for activities like trapeze lessons or the Mexican wrestling training camp.
All that energy is great, but if you have young children who need a quiet place to relax, that's fine too. Inside the manor, there will be face painting, crafts, storytelling, drama, yoga, and a Punch & Judy show.
Each year the festival has a theme, and 2014's theme is 'Lost In Latin America'. Immerse yourself in all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes. Feast on chillis and churros, dance the samba and flamenco, build carnival floats and pińatas, and participate in a voodoo workshop. All this, surrounded by the Amazonian River, an Aztec Temple, and fancy dress.
Although manor houses are big, there aren't enough rooms for every festival goer, so you will be camping out. But don't worry, your experience can be just as luxurious. Choose from vintage airstream vans, tipis, yurts, and bell tents.
Of course, don't forget the real reason you're going. Remember those run of the mill rocks stars, legends, and headline bands? Yeah, they'll be there too. Names include Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Public Enemo, Maximo Park, The Cuban Brothers, and many more.
