Stand Up Comedy at the 02

Almost everyone knows that the waste of money that was the Millennium Dome has now been transformed into the rather brilliant 02 Arena and is often home to many of the world biggest music acts. However, people may not know that the venue also plays host to some of the biggest and best comedians in the United Kingdom and 2012/2013 will carry on that tradition.

Over the next year four of the UK's most well known and loved comedians will be taking over the 20,000 seater Arena providing a welcome distraction from all the doom and gloom of the outside world. Well, for a couple of hours at least.



Kicking things off from the 26th- 30th September is everyone's favourite high-pitched yet well spoken and generally over-excitable showman Michael McIntyre. The mop-topped comedian is the perfect choice for families with his sharp observational comedy providing laughs for all ages. He will be returning to the 02 from the 2nd to the 6th October if you can't catch him in September. Tickets can be found here .



Next up is a man who has blown up (not literally. Obviously) over the last couple of years. Everyone's favourite Scouser - apart from maybe Steven Gerrard- John Bishop graces Greenwich's famous venue with his new show; Rollercoaster. With Bishop being all over our TV screens recently (John Bishop's Britain and A League Of Their Own) this is the perfect chance to see him in the flesh and take full advantage of his funny observations and jokes. He will be at the 02 on the 24th and 25th of October this year and tickets can be found here.



Third on is cross dressing superstar Eddie Izzard. He will be performing his new show "Force Majeure" for one night (8th June 2013) at the 02 as part of his mammoth tour in which he will visit 25 European countries as well as many more. Tickets can eb found here.



Fourth and final is the cocky cockney that came out of nowhere to take over the comedy circuit; Mickey Flanagan. On Wednesday the 16th October 2013 he will be gracing the stage with his quick wit and views on almost everyone. Not to be missed and tickets can be found here.
