Networking is a Pleasurable Business

Who says work and pleasure don't mix? BFP certainly don't. The Banking & Financing Professionals are organising a little after-work get together at the Yager Bar by St. Paul's on the 29th July. It is a chance for business professional to relax, have a drink, and most importantly, meet new contacts.

It is a monthly event with the next one taking place on the 29th July from 6.30pm - 9.30pm in the downstairs function room. Tickets are 5, and will include free home baked snacks.

Feedback from previous attendees has been positive:

'I met with some very interesting individuals, many of which I am sure will turn into ongoing relationships. This is an event which welcomes small-medium sized companies through to those starting their own companies, clearly some talented and motivated individuals with vision of where they are looking to develop and grow.' Matthew, Ablestoke

'It was like networking drinks with new colleagues in the finance industry. Overall a really useful and productive evening. Most importantly, it was unstuffy, relaxed and fun.' Ross, RBS

'What a fabulous event! Thank you for putting together such a wonderful evening with such lively connections.' Kristina, Goldman Sachs

'I've come to several BFP networking events and have enjoyed each one given the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. - Darren, Aviva

'The organisers are also very approachable and do their best to ensure people feel welcome and to help them to make the right contacts both during the evening and afterwards.' - Roberta, JPM

'From the two events I've attended so far, I have met one new client and three other people providing services which have helped me to develop my own business. I fully recommend attending an event as a way to make new connections, whether they be new clients or others who can provide services to help you grow your own business.' - Patrick

This month BFP are introducing a new wristband system. Each wristband will be coloured depending on which sector you work in to make identification easier:

Private Equity/Venture Capital - Green
Asset Management/ Wealth Management - Yellow
Investment Banking / Corporate Finance - Blue
Sales & Trading - Pink
Corporate and Retail banking - Grey
Other Financial Services - Purple
Entrepreneurs/ Investors - Orange
