I spy with my little eye, something beginning with 'C'. Cooped is the second of six shows created by the multi-national comedy quartet, Spymonkey . Their dark and edgy black comedies have been described as 'somewhere between Monty Python, the Marx Brothers, and Samuel Beckett'. Well, there are definitely some funny walks in Cooped. The show, which was first produced in 2001, is directed by Cal McCrystal, the same man responsible for [LINK=http://www.weekendnotes.co.uk/one-man-two-guvnors-theatre-royal-haymarket/]%%One Man, Two Guvnors.

A gothic romance with a twist, the Cooped is set in the remote (and as yet undiscovered) county of Northumberlandhamptonshire. When orphan, Laura du Lay, arrives at the home of her new employer, Forbes Murdston, she tries to ignore his violent mood-swings, but there is something unsettling about the whole situation.

Showing for one week only at Leicester Square Theatre, tickets are between £18-£22.
