Speed Dating celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2018. The first ever Speed Dating event was held in Beverly Hills. It originated as a formal matchmaking process to help Jewish singles meet and marry.

How Does Work?
When you arrive at the speed dating venue, Slug and Lettuce in Birmingham, you will be greeted by the professional hosts. They will help you relax by briefly explaining the format of the evening and confirm how many people you will be dating (usually 12-15 dates).

What Happens at a Speed Dating Event?
At a event, you will have four minutes to chat to each date, Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again. At the end of each date, you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated.

Speed Dating Guarantee:
Luckily, since you will be meeting many amazing other singles at the Birmingham events, you can tick as many potential dates as you like. You won't feel pressured to select (or reject) anyone. However, if you don't find anyone suitable and tick them all as a 'No', the organisers will offer you a free event as part of their guarantee to find that perfect someone for you.
