Poetry in Sculpture

Combining art and poetry, Euroart Studios presents Spectre of Abandonment, an exhibition that explores what can be achieved in the arts through collaboration.

Between the 9th - 14th September, the co-founder, Lorraine Clarke will display her work at Candid Arts Trust in Islington. The sculptor shared her sculptures with three poets, inviting them to write pieces in response. In turn, Clarke has created new work based on the poetry from their anthologies. She also wrote her own poems in conjunction with a sculptural interpretation.

You will be able to view the sculptures alongside readings by poets, who include former journalists, Agnes Meadows, theatrical monologue performer, Sue Johns, and visual artist, Sarah Reilly.

The events schedule is as follows:

9th September: 6pm 9:00pm (all poets)
10th September: 12pm - 9pm (Sarah Reilly)
11th September: 12pm - 9pm (Agnes Meadows)
12th September: 12pm - 9pm (Agnes Meadows & Sue Johns)
13th September: 12pm - 9pm (all poets)
14th September: 12pm - 4pm (all poets)
