Draw yourself happy at the South Ken Kids Festival
This weekend the Institut Francais in South Kensington will fling open its doors for a weekend of creative and literary fun for kids and families at the South Ken Kids Festival.

Now in its 17th year, the event is respected by artists, illustrators and authors alike who all enjoy taking part in the talks, workshops, live music and book signings.

The event is aimed at schools (during this week), families and everyone who is interested in words in every form, they are not fussy.

Here is a list of the artists you will catch at the Festival: Alex Barrow, Clémentine Beauvais, Benjamin Chaud, Benji Davies, Gabby Dawnay, Agnès Desarthe, Jean-François Dumont, Anne Fine, Bruno Gazzotti, Mini Grey, Aurélie Guillerey, Yasmeen Ismail, Judith Kerr, Satoshi Kitamura, Daniel Maja, Delphine Perret, Michael Rosen, Axel Scheffler, Fabien Vehlmann – not to forget the one and only Quentin Blake, the festival's patron.

Check the website here for the full schedule, though if you can definitely sign up for the workshop with illustrators and authors let Alex Barrow and Gabby Dawnay who have recently published a brilliant book (perfect christmas present for old and young London lovers) London Calls!.

You might even spot some possums along the way! Get to know your city in a different light and learn to draw iconic streets and monuments, oh, and don't forget your breton stripped jumper, it would be rude not to!
