Polish Jazz in London

If jazz is your kind of music, then the SongSuite Vocal Festival is for you. Organised by Loire Music, it is an organisation run by music professional who offer jazz workshop, and give vocal & instrument lessons.
Loire Music also organise events, and between the 21st-23rd June, they will be holding a SongSuite Vocal Festival at the Polish Jazz Café on Kings Street.
Each concerts starts at 8pm, and you can buy tickets on the day or book in advance for £10-£12.
The festival will feature a both UK and Polish musicians, and will have headline performances from the internationally acclaimed stars Norma Winstone and Anita Wardell.
Trudy moved to the UK from her native Australia in 1990 to study jazz at the Guildhall School of Music. She has so far released ten albums, performs regularly in Soho, and tours the UK in her children's show, Jazz for Juniors.
Combing jazz and folk music with the traditions of her Polish roots, and Parisian lifestyle, Monika likes to connect with her audience by playing exciting, fresh, and original music.
Anita was born in Guilford, but grew up in Australia. She later moved back to the UK in 1990 to study jazz at the Guildhall School of Music, and is now known for her improvisational vocal skills.
Agata toured her native Poland after joining a punk band at fifteen. She then went on to study classical music in London, and now fuses it with other genres such as rock, folk, jazz, and poetry.
Although she originally studied economics, Juliet is now following her passion for jazz. She released her first album in 2003, and has since performed UK tours, and won a songwriting competition.
Norma is an avant garde jazz singer who started her in the 1960s; Mark came into prominence as a composer and saxophonist in the 1980s, and Gareth started in the 90s, playing the piano.
