Són, Southampton's professional orchestra, will be performing a night of Beethoven classics with classical pianist John Lill accompanying the orchestra and Robin Browning conducting. The performance will be at Turner Sims on Sunday 28th of January at 7:30pm.



John Lill is one of the world's most recognised classical pianists. He made his London debut in 1963 with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 and has since performed in over 50 countries both as a soloist and as part of a number of well-known orchestras. Lill will be performing on the Turner Sims' Steinway.

This concert is one of a number of performances that Són will be performing with John Lill, which will feature all of Beethoven's nine symphonies and his final three piano concerti.

The evening will feature three compositions from Beethoven:
Beethoven Coriolan Overture
Beethoven Piano Concerto No 3
Beethoven Symphony No 5

Tickets for this evening of music start at £14 for students and under 18s, and are £27 for concessions, £28 for adults and £25.20 for Friends of Turner Sims. Tickets can be purchased online from the Turner Sims website or by calling the box office on 023 8059 5151.
