Across the street from the Lewisham Shopping Centre is an outwardly unassuming little blue restaurant. I walked past it twice without noting anything other than the al fresco seating and the catchy name, but don't let that fool you. There's nothing 'fishy' about the excellent food here.

Something Fishy serves up some wonderfully nostalgic British classics, like Pie and Mash (eel anyone?), as well as Fish n Chips, and the All Day Breakfast, but it's the portion size that sets Something Fishy apart - massive fillets of fish, fist size mounds of mash and the single sausage in the All Day Breakfast is as long as the plate.

Cafeteria like inside, it's definitely family friendly featuring a kids menu full of kid-friendly choices. It's a busy place that's full even before noon, but there's a larger area for seating in the back, as well as the outdoor curbside cafe seating out front.

If you're in the mood for some good old fashioned British comfort food, this is definitely the place to enjoy some. The set breakfasts stop serving around noon, but there is always the massively delightful all day. A big menu with plenty of choices will benefit any picky eaters (though dieters might find it a bit too tempting).
