Socio Rehab is a small cocktail bar located in the Northern Quarter, Central Manchester.

It would be easy to miss this small bar, with no obvious name plaques or signs above the door. However, spot it and you are in for a treat.

The bar area itself is very small - make sure you get there early if you're wanting to grab yourself a seat as it does get very busy on weekends and in the late evenings - and is decorated in a funky, retro style.

The cocktail menu at Socio Rehab is everything except ordinary! Drinks are usually priced around £7.50. From the infamous 'Rainbow Road' cocktail which tastes like sweeties and even comes with a jelly baby, to the likes of 'Charlie and Lola' which is a cocktail made from Strawberry Nesquick - yes, really!



The bar has a very friendly atmosphere, despite it being fairly crowded you are always made to feel like a welcome customer. On a busy Thursday night, after around ten minutes of waiting at the bar to be served, the barman created my friend and I a 'surprise' cocktail (it tasted of tropical fruits and was very tasty, complete with glowstick in glass) and charged us only £5 each as an apology for our wait.

Overall, Socio Rehab is one of the best cocktail bars up North. The prices may not always be Northern prices but the yummy cocktails certainly do make up for that.
