Once the food coma has worn off from the Christmas festivities, and the Christmas leftovers, it's time to start thinking about New Year's Eve and to choose the best way to celebrate the year that's just been and ring in the year to come Snowballin' NYE promises to be one of the biggest New Year's Eve events in Southampton, with a huge winter party to warm you up as the clock strikes midnight.
Bedford Place is being transformed into then epic snow resort for the indoor-outdoor street party with an outdoor chalet bar, snow machines, heated marquees, a silent disco, and 7 rooms of music.
The event is strictly over 18 only. That might have something to do with the 'bomb bar', 2-4-1 cocktails before 10pm, and flowing hot cider and mulled wine that are guaranteed to make it a very merry night. There will also be street food and a bratwurst bar to make sure you stay well fed.
There are 7 rooms of music across the participating venue and outdoor marquees with DJs playing through the night. For a dancehall with a twist head to the Arctic Silent Disco where you'll block out everything but the music as you dance away to favourite hits. Participating venues include Orange Rooms, Buddha and Tokyo, each offering their own style and music.
The festivities run from 8pm until 5am on January 1st. One ticket gets you access to all the fun of the outdoor street party as well as the three participating venues. Venues do all have a capacity, so your ticket won't guarantee you entry if capacity is reached - you'll have to wait till there's room.
Tickets are available online. Early bird tickets are £12, followed by first release tickets for £15 and general sale for £20. If you leave it too late and pick up your tickets on the day you'll be paying £25 so make sure you book your tickets early. Tickets cover entry and activities, but you'll still have to cover your food and drinks.
