[ADVERT]Skegness is a seaside town located on the North Sea about three hours away from London in Lincolnshire. It is sometimes referred to as Skeg-Vegas by locals disenchanted with the carnival and commercial atmosphere that attracts hordes of visitors every summer. However, during the winter months, the boardwalk empties, the rides are shut, and the beach goes silent. It is the perfect time to experience the seaside without fighting half the Midlands population.


Even in the blustery winter weather, the North Sea is a beautiful and enchanting place. A peaceful walk along the seaside listening to the sound of waves and seagulls makes up for the lack of sunshine. The warmth of summer may be missing, but the clouds and ocean are perhaps at their most dramatic beauty in the unpredictable and fierce winter storms.


After a walk along the shore, you can visit several fish n' chip shops on the boardwalk that cater to customers all year round.
